Gerardo is at home after returning to the hospital on Monday and Tuesday for testing.  Every level is good except for his creatinine, which is still high but coming down gradually.   He must go back next week, and every week until this level is normal. 

Last night I visited with him at home.  He is really down.  The catch-up work for school is mounting heavily on his shoulders and he worries about needing to go to the hospital in Teguc. every week for a long time.  He is very aware of the costs and carries that burden heavily.  With tears in his eyes he asked me if I would homeschool him.  We decided to give it two more weeks and see how he is then.  The only problem with homeschooling this year is that he would loose a year of school. 

Please pray with us for the Lord's direction and for Gerardo to be able to leave it all in God's hands.  It is a difficult time, but one that we know will not be forever.  God has a plan and sometimes we just don't know what it looks like!
