The butterfly effect is the idea that a single butterfly flapping its wings on one side of the globe can, in theory, start a hurricane on the other. It’s a physics concept, but Rosati wondered if it could be applied to kindness as well.
He started at a diner in his hometown. He asked 2 girls if they could create an act of kindness with $50 each. They chose a village in Sierra Leone and helped provide a feast for the people to help them celebrate being Ebola free! One of the girls said, “I would definitely encourage people to do it.”
Then it spread! Rosati started the Butterfly Effect for kids at a local school and he has watched it ripple around the world. One man’s simple gesture has inspired kids to think beyond themselves and to people around the world.
